Cardiac Rodeo “Telling Our Story” 

• PRMC began planning for cardiac services in 2024 after seeing a large number of patients who have cardiac conditions that were being transferred to other facilities. 
• PRMC partnered with VitalSolution to bring cardiology services to the community-VitalSolutions connects rural hospital with qualified interventional cardiologist who can see patients in the clinic setting, in the hospital and perform cath lab procedures. 
• After a year of organizing and planning in the early 2025 PRMC began our cardiology program with a full-time nurse practitioner seeing patients in the clinic, in the hospital and in the cath lab. 
• At the same time, we re-opened our cardiac rehab program-knowing that it is not enough to help patients in the clinic or hospital (primary prevention) but we also need to help those who have had a cardiac event recover fully (secondary prevention) 
• Our cardiac rehab therapists now offer cardiac rehab M-W-F with classes at 8:00am, 9:15am, 10:30am, 12:30pm, 1:45pm and 3:00pm. They also provide pulmonary rehab on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 
• At 356 square feet (the size of a small living room), our cardiac rehab clinic is small when adding in patient monitoring equipment, exercise equipment, three to four patients, and two staff members. 
• We regularly have a waiting list of 30 or more patients. Funds raised at Cardiac Rodeo will enable PRMC to move our cardiac rehab clinic into our Healthplex facility where we currently house physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. With additional space and exercise equipment we can double the number of patients seen in each cardiac rehab session, decreasing our waiting list. 
• Cardiac Rodeo is PRMC's second annual community event. We hope to make friends and partner with the community to improve healthcare in Clovis and the surrounding area.
